    Pretty amazing that the tanker didn’t see the Utopia approaching on radar. Visually Dow didn’t on the bridge layout he may not have seen it but the radar should have picked it up.

    I have a feeling Utopia is going to stay in the Bahamas for a while since it happened in bahamian waters.

    FWIW, Utopia IV is currently undergoing repairs. He and his family were on a chartered yacht.

    eSysman on YouTube has some pretty shocking new video of the extent of below the water line damage on Utopia and other relevant video that's very interesting posted today.

    Yeah...I saw it...serious damage was sustained under the waterline and also the video from onboard when the impact happened :eek:

    Still for sale and just had another price reduction. She is presently asking $39,900,000 with US duty paid. In total, the complete reductions on this yacht since it was put up for sale is nearly 12 million dollars to date.

    Low volume 63m Italian MY.
    Obviously the owner thought she had something special that would get a premium price.
    I bet the original price was close to what they paid for it, and now reality is setting in, and the price is likely getting close to reality.
    Will never know, but I bet she sells for close to or less than an original low ball offer they laughed at. All the while carry the running/owning costs for a couple of years.
