One of the latest 55-meter projects from Heesen is Project 'Gemini' or YN19755. This vessel is on track for delivery in late October 2022. The exterior as usual is by Frank Laupman while the interior this time around is the work of Luca Dini -which is the first time Heesen is working with Luca Dini on one of their projects-. It will have a Gross Tonnage of around 760 GT. A unique dedicated wellness area is accessible via the beach club, with the sun deck incorporating plenty of room for soaking up the best of the yacht life. Powered by two MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines, the 55-meter Steel achieves a top speed of 15.5-knots with a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13-knots. Twelve guests in six cabins can be slept onboard with a master suite measuring 82 square meters and five other guest cabins. Delivery is planned for October 28th, 2022.
The Hull and superstructure for this project have now been joined and is in the building hall on track for delivery in October 2022.
Project 'Gemini' has now been sold with her delivery in October 2022, the new owner only has over a year to wait before taking possession. There is no word on what she might be called when completed.
Project 'Gemini' has been launched and she is actually called "Reliance". First thing that strikes you is that she has a grey/anthracite colour hull.
The shark grey hull – a choice of the owners, to imbue their yacht with a strong character – perfectly matches the muscular exterior by Frank Laupman and echoes the distinctive ‘shark tooth’ in the overhang of the superstructure – a signature design feature that embellishes the profile and makes the Heesen 55-meter Steel design recognizable from far. MY Reliance marks the debut of Heesen’s collaboration with Luca Dini Design and Architecture. The Italian designer and his team worked closely with the owners and Arcon’s project manager to adapt the design to their taste. Twelve guests are accommodated in six spacious staterooms, with the 82-square-meter owners’ apartment traditionally located on the main deck forward and the VIP on the bridge deck. The remaining guest cabins – two doubles and two twins – are on the lower deck.
"Reliance" still has not been delivered. Has only now been undergoing sea trials after launching in October 2022.
