News: Outer Reef Unveils Adventure 540

In October 2024 YF alerted you to a new model from Outer Reef Yachts called the Adventure 780. That yacht was supposed to have been ready by February 2025. However, there is news about another model to become a stablemate in the Adventure series. It is called the Adventure 540 and continues the push to make the brand appeal to a younger and more modern crowd.

The Adventure 780's construction has the hull made of steel while the Adventure 540 will be entirely from FRP materials. Below deck there will be a three-cabin layout with the master suite situated midships offering full-beam abode for the owner. The master suite will be spacious and well-appointed and with Outer Reef offering customers the ability to choose fabrics and veneers, there is always the chance to personalization and customization.

The yacht is anticipated to be built to CE Category A Unlimited Ocean certification. Power to take this vessel around will be via Volvo Penta connected to the regular shafted propellers. No top speed has been listed as yet but a range of 2,000 nautical miles in 'ECO' mode is cited. The vessel is designed and engineered in the Netherlands by Bernd Weel Design, with engineering by Studio Delta Naval Architects and interiors by Julian Moore Design.

Compact yet versatile, the Adventure 540 is designed to meet the needs of a broader audience, including new cruisers, owner-operators seeking a manageable size, and seasoned owners downsizing for ease of use. As a production style yacht, the Adventure 540 also offers a tailored touch, with a variety of fabrics and veneers available to suit individual tastes.
