Project Cosmos has been technically launched from Lurssen's facility in Rendsburg.
    It's a 110-metre superyacht with a...very unique design.

Another fire broke out at Lurssen's Lemwerder facilities on Wednesday evening. While it didn't damage the vessel in the construction hall it did cause 70,000 euros in damage to other equipment and facility. No injuries were reported other than an employee being taken to hospital for suspected smoke inhalation. 95 firefighters with 22 emergency vehicles were on site.

Some of you may recall that they had a major fire there in 2018.

A couple of months ago I copied a picture from kn-online showing a bow section built at German Naval Yards in Kiel for Lurssen and shipped to one of their shipyards. The article said it was for a yacht. Obviously it was not for project Deep Blue (different size and shape). Any idea for which project it could be?

It appears that Lurssen is looking to acquire Nobiskrug. The news comes after Nobiskrug went into insolvency in late 2024. It seems Lurssen put in a bid and is currently being evaluated.
