A portion of the HIN on the transom of my 46.6 is unreadable. It is the last 5 numbers which I believe includes the year and month of manufacture.
Where else is the HIN located? Under the rub rail somewhere, or inside the boat?

Your HIN is probably recorded somewhere in the paperwork history of your boat. Check your USCG document, or old surveys or insurance policies, or your purchase agreement paperwork. Even the marina office if the boat’s been in the same slip since before you bought it. Or try looking it up on the USCG PSIX website.

    Hello Gunny
Not heard from you in a while.
All good, Boat's full of fish?

RER is on it, I don't think the HIN is hidden anyplace else on a Bertram.
I remember some other mfg's had parts of the build number stamped on different ship parts but not a whole HIN.

No idea where they get their info from but they have not kept up with it.
