   I keep trying, but Euro style interiors leave me cold. I want WOOD, beautiful highly glossy wood. Is that so wrong?

   Sort of. Many Traditional wood interiors are often satin finish wood, sometimes with gloss accents. But I'm with you on gloss. We had many satin finish Teak flat-pack furniture pieces in our home, and refinished them with gloss spar varnish.

   Lots of sunlight into the room, go satin. If your space trends dark, go gloss.

   The way I would look at it is, "your $$$ your choice." After purchase had all mine sanded & refinished satin.
