I am working on my fresh water on my 42 Post. It looks like the waste side goes over to the fresh side. Yes it does look like there is some type of set up that will stop it but is that really normal?
Hi, What year is your boat ? Do you have two tanks, one Starboard & one Port under the back deck ? Or if not, were are your tanks located ?
Sorry it's 43 post 1988 or 89 yes to both tanks. I am trying to which out the original set up. which looks like a pump and the blue round take on top. I bought a Scala 2 for it. Does that make sense
Our 89 43 Post has two water tanks under the cockpit floor. They are connected by a PVC pipe system across the boat. The water tanks gravity feed to the water pump located in the engine room, along port outer wall at front of the engine. I didn't like the way they were connected so I changed it. The funky check valve behind the fresh water tanks is what keeps a siphon between the tanks and the pump. To work the tanks have to start with water at a higher level than the check valve before the pump can be primed. The holding tank is under the lower guest bunk. Access through a removable panel. We had our head converted to fresh water flush. It gets the fresh water from the feed to the shower in the cabinet behind the head. -Greg
Same here. When the OP said the said the waste and fresh sides interconnected, I thought mybe he also has a fresh water flush or he thought one tank was fresh and one was waste which confused me. Both tanks under my deck are fresh water, like yours Greg.
