  1. Top Five Yachts At Cannes Yachting Festival
The 2024 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival is the next major yacht show on the yachting calendar. Next month from the 10th to the 15th of September the show will be held and some 2024 delivered yachts will be on display for the first time. Spanning the breadth and cadre of yachts that range from explorers, flexplorers, express yachts and full displacement superyachts. One of those yachts to be on display is the new superyacht "Asante".
  2. Asante is the new Custom Line 50-meter and at 49.94-meters it is the brands first yacht constructed entirely from aluminium. The exterior design is the work of Filippo Salvetti with interiors by ACPV Architects. Interior volume is approximately 498 GT with room to sleep 10 guests. twin CAT marine diesels run this vessel to a reported top speed of 16-knots. The 49.94-meter yacht has a beam of 9.6-meters and a draft of 2.2-meters.
  3. "GO" maybe a familiar name as there is the the 77-meter superyacht of the same name that was built in 2018 by Turquoise Yachts. However, there is a new GO that was completed in 2024 that is much smaller -at 45-meters-. Built by Tankoa Yachts as the first hull in their new T450 line. This yacht boasts an exterior design by Giorgio M. Cassetta with an interior by the same. A layout that caters to 12 guests in 6 staterooms and some customizations that were made by her North American owner. At 45-meters long she carries a beam of 8.8-meters.
  4. Cantiere delle Marche created their flexplorer 146 design and the first vessel from this new category was christened "Maverick" -delivered to her German owner this year-. Despite being a luxury platform the yacht is an explorer at heart. Her refined yet tough-looking exterior design is the work of Hydro Tec. She has a thickened steel layer just above and below the waterline to help her out if she cruises in the northern latitudes. There is an A-frame embedded at the stern which is a very commercial feature. A pool located aft while a luxurious feature can have practical use as storage for some of the outdoor furniture when underway as it can be covered. CAT C32 ACERT engines are fitted onboard that can power her to a top speed of 14-knots. Cruising she is efficient and boasts transatlantic range measuring above 5,000 nautical miles. 6 cabins are available including 2 master category rooms on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck.
  5. The 40-meter DOGE 400 by Ocean King also completed this year is expected to be on show in Cannes. We believe her name is "LORI" and her design is more of a crossover explorer styling done by Design ALot Studio. 10 guests can be slept onboard in 5-cabin layout. She also carries CAT diesels which give her a top speed near 16-knots and a range of around 5,500 nautical miles at 10-knots. It is believed the interior was designed by Margini Architects.
  6. In terms of muscular, the express style yachts category will be represented by AB Yachts who will have their AB125. The AB125 is a direct continuation from the yards' popular AB120 model. The first unit in the 39-meter AB125 was sold and the interiors are the work of Centro Stile. Performance is the name of the game with this type of craft with top end speeds nearing the 40-knot mark. Aside from running fast, the yacht will also be able to access very shallow confines thanks to its 1.4-meter draft.
