Looking to purchase a Carver 405 or 406 with Cummins diesels, a cherry interior and a lower station. Does anyone know anyone who's ready to sell theres?
Nice boat. I have the 405 now for 11 years. Love it. We live aboard and having a lower helm would just take up space. With the covered upper helm I really can’t see the want for a lower. ( One more set of everything that needs to be maintained or fix) B. O. A. T.
If your still here on the forums, I may want to pick your brain... I just put in a contract on a 98 405.
Hi there! New here, but I am looking for info on the 1998 405 and 1999 406. We love the layouts of them and the stairs off the platform rather than the ladder. We found a couple for sale that we are interested in seeing. There is some confusing info we are finding regarding hull composition. We read that anything ending with 5 and 6 have a balsa cored hull, but then also read that the boats manufactured in the late 90’s and newer were solid cored below the waterline. Does anyone know for sure?
I do have the CARVER 405 here in Florida. Had it now for 14 years and love it. Have no idea of which core is under the glass.
We upgraded the entire interior . Quarts countertops through out. Wood floors and steps. All copper bowl sinks and large TV that disappears down into the wall. Tried to make more like a home inside instead of a boat since we are on it more than on land.
