The third hull in the new Nordhavn N71 model has been launched. It is called "Sea Nut" and was launched on the 7th of July and fully in the water by yesterday. The vessel is all-white with just some color-banding on the boot stripe. It was built in Taiwan at the Ta Shing factory and is expected to be prepared for shipping next month where it will be going to Dana Point, CA for commissioning.

As a reminder, N7101 is a flag-blue coloured hull named "Luna", The second has a creamy/offwhite hull and the third is all-white. The second hull was launched back in February 2024 and now the third hull has been launched in July. YF is not certain of the profile of these new owners but the owners of the second hull were repeat customers of the yard having stepped-up from a Nordhavn N68.

The N71 model is proving to be a good seller with the yard seemingly close to launching one every couple of months. PAE President Dan Streech also said a few months ago that he believes the model will be a hit with customers. "I think the Nordhavn 71 will ultimately be our most popular of the bigger size boats". The is 74-feet long inclusive of the bow plank, 22.5-feet wide and a draft of 6.8-feet. The displacement is around 227,800 lbs according to the yard. Given the type to mission the boat has been built for there is approximately 4,830 GAL ( 18,284 LT) of fuel that can be taken on.
