How do you qualify “support” ? The guy basically owns the country, you mean to tell me Abramovich supports Putin? What if I voted for Bush? Would it be ok to say I support all his decisions? Nonsense
I qualify "support" the same way you did when you wrote, "[...] I do not support putin or his war [....]." Abramovich and the others approve of Putin's behavior, and are involved in financing Putin's government. They have been called "Putin's wallet." In other words, they support Putin. If you had voted for Bush, would you have supported him during the "Iraq war 2" or would you have condemned him? How do you justify your sympathy for the Oligarchs who are supporting Putin?
I hate to turn this thread into a debate with you, but I don't understand your obsession with calling me an oligarch supporter. When USSR was breaking up people (oligarchs) got windfalls I don't see anyone else in the world not doing the same in their shoes, as for "support" take Abramovich for example he has been in Turkey with Russian and Ukraine envoys in peace talks, yeah so I find it unfair for him. Or the guy who owns PHI thats blocked in Canary Wharf London, not sanctioned just holds a Russian passport. Lots get mishandled in situations like this.
In your post #79, you said the USA and EU were being bullies and hypocrites, because Larry Ellison's yacht wasn't seized during "Iraq war 2." In other words, it sounds like you think the Russian Oligarchs have been treated unfairly, since the oligarchs' yachts are being seized. I was just curious how you could think that, but I'll just accept that it's something I don't understand.
"Amadea" has made it to San Deigo. I guess she will stay there until her fate is known via auctioning.
The 106-meter Lürssen superyacht "Amadea" is expected to be for sale via the sealed-bidding process in an auction to be held on September 10th.
She appears to be in relatively good condition, aside from the pool where it looks like tiles are missing.
Yes alot of the mosaic tiles are missing from the pool..but that is minor. Some lighting and stuff like that not working too but that is to be expected when there was no constant work to change out those things.
Apart from condition where nuances can be found, I quite enjoyed the promo video. It's somewhat typical kitsch/russian style of designing things, but it's not the most gaudy one I have seen. I mean I do prefer a la Abramovich 'beach house, not penthouse' style, but this ain't the worst. Who will buy it (if at all)... well that's different question.
Looks like "Amadea" might be sold. I realized recently the U.S flag on the stern was gone ...replaced with a regular Cayman Islands ensign. The sale took place on 10 September in accordance with a forfeiture order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (Case 1:23-cv-09304).
