Does anyone know the reality with regard to arriving Bimini in SW winds? I’ve read that there can be issues with swell and due to the shoaling sandbars, and the marker buoys having moved to misleading positions that it should not be attempted if you have SW or S winds of 20kts or more, especially on a falling tide.
Avoiding the misleading marker buoys, there is the “old channel” further south which looks to be the best option.
In my case I have a 4ft draft boat with pods so have ZERO tolerance for propellers touching sand.
I’d love to hear from experienced captains who’ve done this many times and have recent intel.
    Many thanks!
