Replacement motor; Nautical Structures 1500 hydraulic davit

    My 24v motor for the hydraulic pump on my davit has died and I am looking for a replacement. I contacted Nautical Structures and they were absolutely no help other than telling me that they no longer carry the motor and the company that supplied the motor is now out of business. Has anyone found a replacement motor?

    You might try taking it to a local starter/alternator shop. Chances are they can rebuild it.

    It may cost as much as a new unit, but in your situation it would be a good option.

    Typical Nautical Structures service.

    how old is the pump? May not be worth rebuilding the motor a new one maybe a better option. Not from NS but a good hydraulic shop.

    If in south Florida, talk to Justin at Advantage Marine service in FTL. They re an ABT Trac stab dealer but they ve handled all my hydraulic incl Jarstom steering as well as misc stuff like pumps for hatch lifts etc. They may be able to get you a replacement but pump

    Thanks. The pump is 20 years old so that is probably a good idea but unfortunately I am in the Chesapeake Bay. Customer service at nautical structures has been no help whatsoever so I will remove and try to find a replacement. It is just a 24v motor with a hydraulic pump and the location is roomy so hopefully I can find a replacement.

    It’s a wonder that Nautical Structures is still in business. Never seen worse customer service.
