I can't find much information on Michigan EQY props other than they are supposed to be a step up from DQXs and supposed to have camber that the DQXs don't. They were also fitted to quite a few Searays and maybe a few Cabos.

I need a new set of props for my 53 Ocean ss which had 28 X 38 Hytorqs, one of which I mangled beyond repair. I've found a set of 28 X 37 EQYs and don't know with some tweeking if I should expect similar or better cruise speed. I was getting 26/27 knots out of the Hytorqs.

Anyone have any info on the EQYs and how they would compare to the Hytorqs or other Michigan models or other brands - Veem or Acme which I would assume to be better, but by how much?

IMO; Hytorq has it's name for a reason. The blades usually don't fall off under higher loads.
To better protect your investments, I would call on a Michigan Rep with your specs and questions between these models.
I fear more rake or camber, more leverage against the hub and blades are more prone to fail and fall (break) off.

Your next question about Veem or Acme.
Thru the years, I have heard positive reviews of Yacht Forum kids using these wheels.
Some searches in YF on these wheels could help.
Members with these wheels hopefully will come on to this thread.
Worth the extra investment? High hour (really), yes. Weekend warrior , I don't think so.

Depending on the price you can buy the used set for you're probably better off. Factor in tweaking costs though. Any good shop can find an inch.

I had a set of Mich wheels that I destroyed one of as well, switched to ACME, there's a thread here on it. Quite honestly I didn't gain enough to justify the cost of the swap.
