Lurssen is working on a superyacht only going by the project name 'Grande'. As you would imagine it is a highly confidential project and well-we cannot tell you much about it. However, a rendering could give you an idea as to the design styling and hint who maybe the exterior designer. With an LOA of 110-meters, Project Grande is yet another 100+ meter project from this German customer builder. Hull is in steel and the superstructure in aluminium and will be able to carry up to 24 guests in 12 cabins. Delivery is set for 2021 if everything goes well.
I am wondering, this project never launched and the old design has been updated alot... I wonder if it is what the Project Management has currently as Project JASSJ. If so the project would have shrunk slightly from 110-meters to 103-meters. Exterior and interior the work of RWD.
Seems I was right back then. The hull and superstructure shell of Project 'Jassj' was outside as well as it was towed to the building hall to be outfitted. RWD on the design inside and out on this one. Delivery should still be around 2025.
LOA: 102,4m Beam: 15m Draft: 3,9m Gross tonnage: 3.420 Managed: Mo ran Yachts&Ship Hull: Steel Superstructure: Aluminium Exterior and interior as already mentioned: RWD Capacity: 20 guests in 10 staterooms (at first it was stated 22 guests in 11 staterooms) Photos by Tom Van Oossanen On the last picture you can see there is German flag starboard bow, while on portside bow a Canadian one. Hmm. (Credits: redcharlie1 @IG)
Canadian Flag definitely means that the Yacht's Owner is from Canada. It's an old Lurssen Tradition to put on Launched Yacht Bow flags of the Builder and Owner.
I was just about to post the same thing... almost scrolled past the image when the maple leaf caught my eye.
