Didn't find anything on ours (bought 2021) other than "possible spot" where prior windlass was removed. When they cut through to install th new windless core was solid.

From our experience, just check as you would any 30+ year old boat.

    Welcome to Yacht Forums.
A bunch of Post owners are to be found here. Just they are out fishing or that dreaded W thing gets in the way. Patience.

Greg is a great resource and not to far from similar weather than yourself.

Jump on the YF search option. There are many threads about Post and owner projects.

The better surveyor will tap the whole boat over with a plastic mallet.
The better surveyor will also have contact moisture meters and I/R devices to follow up on suspect areas.
Ensure he knows, you are expecting this thorough core exam high and low.

Is there a web address for the sales ad?
    Please post here.
Our members are all over. Someone may even know the boat and offer some in-sight.

Good strong, solid boat, not really alot of major issues with the late 80’s Posts

wouldnt be surprised if u found some water intrusion or soft spot up in bow

Best way to find out for sure is hire a well known reputable surveyor. AND an get an engine survey too.
    All money well spent
