Dropped off existing stateroom fit to size bedspread and picked new fabric at local upholstery shop that has done prior boat work. Woman called me back with price today. $2800. saying cost is about half fabric, half labor. Insane!! She wound up dropping to $ 2500. Someone suggested look in RV supply places. Another suggested I find a seamstress. I'm sure other boat owners have been here before me so maybe some reasonable suggestions ??
We have a new site supporter that makes custom boat mattresses. They are based in Lauderdale and I believe they make mattresses, bedsheets and bedspreads specifically to fit Bertrams... https://www.comfortboatmattresses.com/ Please let 'em know you found 'em on YF.
No surprise. We tried that a few years ago and it was crazy expensive. Nowadays we buy the really nice Macys Hotel Collection bedspreads. They re not cheap but high quality and work on mildly odd shape beds. Their cotton sheets are excellent too
I believe they did all our crew mattresses and bedding a few years ago. They did a great job and the pricing was better than the other big yacht mattress companies.
Good stop and let Donna know. Long story short; bought a king size at Macy's for the fabric and dropped it with the original at Comfort Boat Mattresses to customize.
Picked up the new spread today. Comfortboatmattresses was a good stop, thanks. Didn't care for any of their materials but took Pascal's suggestion and bought a Hotel Collection King at Macy's for the material which Comfortboatmattresses made to size.
