There is a 52, which has been owned by the same person since new, but your 44 may be the longest continuous family ownership of the 44s. Is she an Express or Flybridge model? What is her condition? Power?

She is a flybridge with Cummins 6BTA 250 with 1650 hrs. The last survey was completed in Aug 2021. After tests with percussion and moisture meter the superstructure came back back with no signs of delamination, voids, or moisture. The hull was also tested via percussion and meter and showed no signs of moisture intrusion. The boat rated overall as “average”. Checking the paperwork it was purchased in 2000 and moved from a winter storage unit on Lake Michigan in Aug 2001. Original name was Kentucky Lace.

Sounds great, she could give you many more years of enjoyment if you keep up with the maintenance. I love boats with long family ownership.

Yea I am putting the work in now in the hopes of getting quite a few more adventurers in. Currently planning a trip up to Judith Point, RI for a birthday/ family reunion Memorial Day weekend.

Can anyone confirm the size of the fuel tanks for the 44s? I have conflicting info. I have read 100 gal each and am inclined to believe this after topping off each with approx 45 gal when the gauges were at about 1/4. The survey stated 440 gal total capacity. There is no label on the tanks themselves.

I have a copy of a brochure which says 250 gallons.

I seem to vaguely recall my father telling me that one tank was bigger (140) as the generator drew from it as well.

Anyone have tips of Midnight Lace parts? Specifically, bought a 1983 52' (2 x 2006 Yanmars) and looking for struts.

    Thank you.
