    A new sailing yacht is currently under construction at Royal Huisman and it is the MM597 with Malcolm Mckeon on the external design and Liaigre on the interior. Southern Spars, North Sails, Future Fibers are all involved in the project which is expected to be completed in 2022. Here is a recent video from Southern Spars about the project.

    With it's very sleek but long hull, twin rudders and obviously retractable prop(s) and thrusters, this cruiser / racer sloop will sail like a devil. My 165 ft cruiser / racer really looks frumpy in regard to this great design. Royal Huisman is still one of the best adresses for large sailing yachts. Maybe it has also a lifting keel. For sure, some very expensive carbon staff will be placed later on top of that deck. IMO a great design.

    Just my 2 (Euro) cents

    I am not a big fan of the proportions here. I personally like Alea more.

    Certainly a beautiful yacht. She won the World Superyacht Award 2024 for 'Sailing Yacht Of The Year'.
