Record traffic at YF...

Back in 2007 thru 2012, we had many days when the number of viewers online was 3000 to 4000 a minute. When the televised news media began promoting Facebook circa 2013, we saw our traffic fall but over the past couple of years it has rebounded. Several other forum webmasters have also noted substantial increases in traffic. Today we had over 7000 viewers online (Sunday, January 15th 2023). There is evidence pointing to a migration away from big tech platforms.

This morning I checked 'who's online' and we currently have 10,800 visitors roaming the forums. For June 2024, we've been averaging about 40,000 to 50,000 visitors a day. July & August are typically the highest traffic months so we're off to a good start this summer...

There are many forums that drive big traffic; mostly automotive and recreational transportation forums. Motoryachts are a much more niche sector.

This morning we have a little over 10,000 people online. We've been averaging 50,000 to 80,000 visitors every day for the first 2 weeks of January...!

January 2025 is shaping up to be the biggest month in our 22 year history. January 1st to 27th...

In January 2025 we recorded the highest number of visitors we've ever had in the marine "off-season". August is almost always our peak month for traffic. This past Sunday we had over 10,000 people online and today, just over 11,000. I'm not sure if August will be a record month, but given the niche nature of motoryachts I think it's reasonable to say YF is driving the bulk of big boat traffic on the internet...

July 2025 wasn't too shabby at 1.25 million visitors...

Wednesday night, September 17th, 2025. Over 24,000 people roaming the forums...!

As a follow up to last night's post, on September 17th, 2025 we recorded 92,899 visitors. That's a YF record! Worth noting, we've had 4 consecutive days (Sept 12th to 15th) with over 1,000,000 page views a day! This is great exposure for our site supporters but more importantly, it means our visitors are finding relevant, useful information.

Saturday, November 1st 2025 (the weekend of FLIBS) we have 17,900 people roaming the forums. Chamber of Commerce weather resulted in good attendance at FLIBS but nowhere near the number of people we have online, every day...

4 hours later nearly 23,000 people online. I'll check the cPanel stats tomorrow but I expect we will be over 100,000 visitors today...

Checked cPanel stats (Webalizer) this morning. Yesterday we had over 132,000 visitors...

I knew we would be over 100,000 yesterday but WOW... 189,000 visitors!!!
