    Web search; New Kite System for Ships Trialed on Transatlantic Voyage

    When you find the video, looks like the kite is behind and slowing the ship down.
    This is helpful? Raises the bow out of the water a few (micro) inches?

    So we use kites alot when targeting sailfish. They fly at 45° to each other and provide at good bait presentation. They will just fall out of the sky occasionally and are extremely difficult to retrieve without breaking. This is from a stationary boat. Can't imagine trying a kite retrieval from a moving freighter. Could get serious fast.
