    Yesterday, we set some records…

    1. 1456 people online at 6:17 PM.
    2. The LSX review has received nearly 2400 views inside of 24 hours.
    3. A record 4698 unique visitors yesterday!
    4. Almost 1 million hits yesterday… (987,331 to be exact)

    One million hits-a-day is an elusive number. We might crack it, but it’s the exception to the rule. Our hits are rising each month and we’re approaching an average of 600,000 a day. Among webmasters, one million hits a day is considered a major website within a sector, usually the leading website within an industry. (we’re not talking Yahoo here guys!).

    I never thought of YF as a major site. Just a place to hang out, talk about boats… and avoid responsibility.

    There is no doubt that this site loses a little momentum when you are away on your real estate adventures. In my view, that shows how much you personally contribute. Congratulations- you should be proud.

    Actually, YF looses momentum when ANY of us are away. We need to change the name to LurkForums!

    Mixed emotions on those real estate hunts. Some pretty properties out there. Some scary ones too. But at these prices, the question is... how much pain are you willing to endure every month.

    I won't live for a house. It's a place to sleep, shower & split. Everything I have is going into something I'll never see, with the exception of the tax bill. After doing my diligence, I may have found a sleeper in the bubble. I'll tell you more AFTER I've bought everything I can afford. :D

    I think it's ironic... no matter what contributions you've made, or technologies you've created, awareness you've raised or lives you've saved...

    ... life comes down to a game of Monopoly!

    You need to publish more of this kind of stuff. This is a kind of a freak stuff in this industry, it generates traffic. (4 IPS??? Pardon my criticism, but it's obvious that it is just a temporary solution, if Volvo was ready with bigger diesels IPS, there would be only two of them... Reminds me of three tits on a female body instead of two bigger...)

    Carl, most people think that way, but very few people actually do it... A memory from a trip or voyage is worth ten times more then living in a slightly bigger - better house... Unfortunately I know from experience. My eyes where opened little over a year ago by an accident that could have killed me 3x times. Ever since, I couldn't care less about the materialistic things and started planning trips that I always wanted to do...

    Apart from this side-tracking :
    Well done with the records on all the views and hits. There are many threads on this forum that prove that the industry is regarding this forum more or less as "the place to be" and "if you're not on there, you're missing out..." Few examples would be "platinum scoop", Y7XX build follow threads", "copy-right violation thread with AMG", "Diesel-Electric", ... Too many to name, but these are the ones that jump to mind.

    Well done and keep it up.

    If you'll be my dealer for Yacht-information then I'll promise I'll keep coming back for more like a real addicted junky for my daily fix :D

    It's a shame that it takes an accident or health issues to open our eyes. All too often, we are caught up in the pursuit of getting ahead. In the end, you realize the only thing that matters is family & friends.

    The media turn out for the LSX event was an eye-opener. There were at least 2-dozen publishers, writers and editors in attendance. Names we all know and respect. Several of them approached me and introduced themselves as “screen names”, which took me completely off-guard. Turns out a few of these guys follow YF. It’s an honor that people like this read our ramblings. I am hopeful they will join our discussions and reciprocate the knowledge.
