I've seen a 88 Florida for sale that had panels to put in between the roof and the span-around window.
Can't help to think that panels that fold out of the roof would be a better solution.
In fact, you could also have a foldable rear-window in the roof so the boat would truly go from open to closed.

(I did a printscreen of the video with the panels)

Just ran a new Pred 74 from Lake Charles Louisiana to Galveston in the western gulf. It was 5-6 Ft seas and I could drink my morning hot coffee at 25 kts.

Also consider that if the boat is in North America, Sunseeker service and support is way better than Riva and certainly Otam.

In the western Gulf, the Preds draft is a plus. At half load, the draft is really 5’4” and can negotiate any Marina, plus deal with the depth issues caused by storms.

a question for the brain trust on this thread - which boat will be the best choice when it’s. 7-8 yrs old ?

Riva is heavier and better build to Sunseeker, possibly runs even better but that can be subject to model vs model.
With Riva though what you get is a more delicate machine. The mahogany wood outside needs to be maintained correctly every season, and if you go for one of the dark colors that also needs its fair share of maintenance especially on top deck.
Sunseeker on the other hand are fairly basic, and as Capt.J points out the white gelcoat tends out to craze after 5-10 years in hot climate areas.
