Any one hear of this operation in April ?? FWC reports 9 boats cited for discharging sewage , 2o for not securing "Y'' valves.. Report states 9 agencies were involved covering 2 counties ...also a new law that requires vessels to maintain a log pertaining to MSD..
I m glad they re cracking down. The rules are simple yet most boaters don’t follow them. We often have that midnight smell in our marina, which has Ohno out at every slip. Disgusting. not away of any log requirement. Can you post a link ?
Never mind. Found it. Only applies to liveraboard vessels and houseboats (8) The owner or operator of a live-aboard vessel as defined in s. 327.02(23), or a houseboat as defined in s. 327.02(17), that is equipped with a marine sanitation device must maintain a record of the date of each pumpout of the marine sanitation device and the location of the pumpout station or waste reception facility. Each record must be maintained for 1 year after the date of the pumpout Much needed in my opinion as there are hundreds of semi derelict liveaboards which are unable to move to a pump out.
True. But at least non derelicts can move to a pump out! Benefit of the doubt. The derelicts we have around here cant raise anchor and only moves on a final voyage when a storm hits.
