Looking for Deck Chair Recommendations

    I would appreciate recommendations for some quad folding deck chairs. I can only use quad folding as the only storage option I have is under the settee. The typical bi-fold chairs will not fit. I currently have some that I bought at West Marine 10 years ago. They have held up fine but that’s mainly because they are so uncomfortable we rarely use them. They feel like you are sitting in a bucket and they force you to hunch forward. I’m 6’5” so they are exponentially uncomfortable for me.
    I’m considering the Yeti Trailhead chairs which look like great chairs and get good reviews. However, they are super expensive compared to others and I need 4 of them. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Those are very different looking. They look like the shorter style beach chairs? I need standard height chairs. I don’t think folks would like sitting that low and staring at the inside of the cockpit

    I have Plywood folding chairs on my boat and they are bifold. They are very nice but take up a lot of space as you know. My wife recently purchased two Yeit TrailHead Camp Chair and I am about to get rid of the Plywoods and get two more TrailHeads from Yeti. We got them for storage and comfort for our Airstream Atlas van. Storage is a premium and comfort by the camp fire and on the beach is a must.

    $300 per chair seems like a lot for a folding chair. You will get a lot out of this thing.

    The fold design and storage bag is fantastic. The comfort is great.

    My only issue it that I have to put them away at night, cause they will walk, no doubt in my mind.

    If you go this route let us know.

    Not aware what "quad folding" means...

    FWIW, we have some Coleman camp chairs that collapse like the Yeti, stow semi-easily, and are reasonably comfortable. The seat is slightly more like a bucket compared to the Yeti, but no hunching required... and we only use them when we need to augment built-in bench seating. No class at all, but they work OK... Think they were $30 apiece, something like that...

    Thanks. Quad folding is where all four legs, the seat and back collapse down. They usually fit into a bag or sleeve. I have one of those Coleman as well but looking for something more comfortable.

    For sure, good find, half the price of the best folding chair I have sat in. I swear I have ni affiliation with Yeti, but I can not deny this design and material and workmanship. I want to find fault with it, just can’t.
    This Dometic model has canvas seating, I wonder about the robustness of the fabric choice. Otherwise looks decent enough.

    Those Dometic look nice but I would be testing the weight rating :(:(. I ordered four of the Yeti chairs. I’ll post back after I receive them and test them out.

    Just back after first three day trip with the Yeti chairs. I really like them. They are hell for stout and comfortable to sit in. Super easy to set up and fold down. A bit heavy but doesn’t bother me for what I’m using them for.

    Not surprised.
    Just had to replace one, watch out for fire pit embers! The fabric melts a hole when one panda on it. I was amazed how fast the ember melted right through. I called Yeti, they explained Dr hey stayed away from fire retardant fabric or treatment on purpose. Some talk about avoiding certain chemicals.
    I was a bit surprised as these are outdoorsy chairs from an outdoorsy marketing company.
    They did give me 20% discount on a replacement. They did not have fabric only replacement kits. I will darn the hole and try to keep flying embers away!
