another two doors in the mast which makes 3. couldnt see the other side, but thats a lot of doors for one mast
frontal view on the mast; you see two ventilation outlets on two floors in the center of the mast; not a clue what theyre for
closeup on the complicated curved window mechanism; lot of work for a very small room on this ship; not sure whats its for; waiting room for tenders and choppers?
Nice work Erik! We ALL appreciate the time you devoted to getting these pictures and uploading them to YF!! I think we've watched history in the making with Y701. There have been many significant builds over the years, but none of them have received the build coverage of Oceanco's Amevi. And never before has the world been able to follow along in real time. Although she is far from finished, we must acknowledge Oceanco's amazing accomplishment thus far. Less than a year ago, we all bared witness to welding, cutting & grinding. Now, we have seen a rendering become a yacht... and it is more beautiful then we imagined. Congratulations to Oceanco, Nuvolari & Leaonard and Oceanco's entire team of contractors & craftsmen. And a round of applause to Tantetruss! (This thread has been moved into the General Yachting Discussion)
Thanks Thanks all I wonder how many Yachtowners and yards are looking at Yachtforums; must be quite a few and i hope that they will see the opportunity of this site; coverage in magazines like "Boat" isnt very extensive to say the least and i think yards might actually gain interest in more coverage in the whole "from design to maiden voyage" process. Hopefully there will be more yards like Oceanco; (might make our lives a bit more interesting too )
To observing Amevì (a magnificent yacht) I have noted two things: 1. Octopus and Oeino teach, forward the yacht is more similar to Octopus; 2. the aft main deck remind Ecstasea with the 2 tender storages and the circular glass door.
Cool shots! Thank you! (for the "dry report" too) She looks better than the computer pic's. Has she anything to do with the Amels "Amevi"?
i dont know, but i thought the same; given the time between the delivery and the time when the new Amevi is ready i think its not unlogical to say that the owners are the same
are you talking about the india guy? Apparently he's after the rising sun; funny, since he already got his captain
