Ocean Alexander will be debuting its new 28 Explorer at the Sanctuary Cove show when it starts tomorrow. The yacht is new and recently out of the shed and the show in Australia is its first stop for the public to see. The exterior and interior is the work of Evan K. Marshall in collaboration with the yard. The design firm's work carves a four-stateroom layout out of the available 163 GT.

The 28E is fitted with a pair of MAN marine diesels which see her reach a 24-knot top end. Throttle back to 10-knots and the range increases to nearly 2,900 nautical miles. Fast-cruising speed is set at 19-knots. Construction has been made in GRP materials but instead of being hand laid they use "fiberglass with infusion lamination manufacturing technology" that results in increased efficiency and strength as well as weight-savings.

With four staterooms onboard the 28E will comfortably accommodate eight (8) guests in a master suite, two VIPs and a smaller guest cabin. Below gives you an idea what the accommodation is offering guests. Muted and neutral tones will appeal to a broader base of clientele. The forward main deck master suite will likely be a hit with customers. Expanses of glazing not only on the usual two sides but a third side as well -fitted with a curved glass panel-. Certainly a spectacular feeling above the bed.
