I guess some of you don’t understand that Amazon doesn’t deliver to the Exumas... getting parts here is doable but neither cheap or easy.
Do you have a clamp on AC ammeter ? I believe that is a stupid question, knowing you .... Did you look at the current draw of the motor when it did not run as compared to when is did run as compared to the nameplate value ? Curious to know that info.
Didn’t think about it but I can definitely hear the gen making a different noise. Will try next time it happens
Not sure they know where Exuma is; A remote & off shore island, in the off shore country of Bahama... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exuma
thanks. I have some people flying in Jan 4th here in Staniel we can get parts flown in on Makers Air out of FTL when needed. Just a bit of paperwork. Worth it sometimes.
A gensets noise change suggests that the engine is struggling to keep up with a high current demand on its alternator, but pretty sure you must have some substantial genset(s) power installed. And that happened without tripping the pump breaker, as I understand. How many Amps is it rated for?
