Please brag if you include pictures. Beautiful. What kind of engines? I think I prefer it without the flybridge.
2 - 8v71's. 375 HP normally aspirated. Both low hours so I am thinking they should last thousands of hours if handled properly. Thanks for the compliments. I fell in love with her at first sight, a horrible thing when buying but it is what it is. It's that retro look.
First Lady looks very presidential! Yacht Trivia: In the early years of Burger, there was often a correlation between the length of the vessel and the year it was built/delivered. If the numbers are not identical, they are typically very close. Was your 63-foot Burger built in 1963?
I believe so. I spoke with one of the VPs at Burger and he has his people putting together a bunch of information for me. I think a lot of folks will be surprised but I don't want to say anything until its all confirmed.
Looking at the other boat I see it is the same as mine in that there is no anchor roller or pulpit. There is however a small davit and I am told its for lifting the anchor(s) over the side. My anchors are secured to the deck and you can see them and the davit in this photo. There is a windlass but the owner tells me he has never used it and does not know if it works. Anyone know about this sort of set up?
So wish Burger could have recaptured those times. They never really got energy rebuilt after the bankruptcy and new ownership. They should be turning out beautiful boats but are not.
