Does anyone know where I can find the Feadship 50/50? I was involved with her over 20 years ago. I found pictures of her on an old YF post, taken about 6 to 8 years ago. She was on land in some marina, gutted. It made me ill..If she is still barely breathing somewhare, I want to acquire her and bring her back to her original state.

Feadship 50/50 Disposition Thank you for your help everyone. I was able to catch up with Richard, the last owner of her. He pointed me to the yard in NC where she was. I just got off the phone with them, she was scrapped. Thats Sad! Well, I'm looking for a vintage Feadship cockpit like her, 65' or above. If anyone knows of one, please give me a shout. Paul - My name is Tony Scrivener - Annapolis, MD - The 65 Feadship Fifty-Fifty was in my family for many years - The name Fifty-Fifty has also been in the family for over 100 years She was originally built for Marge Schott -owner of the Cincinatti Reds - Named 'Double Schott' The tender was named 'Chaser'. She sold her to the Kenilworth Hotel in Miami Beach - Owned by Arthur Godfrey and she was renamed 'Kenilworth' and he put a wonderful piano on the aft deck She was then sold - about 1960 + to my grandfather who renamed her Fifty-Fifty. I know the entire history of this beautiful yacht -My grandfather donated her to the state of Maryland back in the late 60's as the Governor's Yacht - Then she was sold to a local man who did a lot of restoration and took her to south Florida. He subsequently died. She was then sold to a veteran who lived on her in Jupiter, Florida - and she was let go. He took her to a yard in Hamstead, NC - in terrible shape. I then sold her to a man from New York State - with big dreams and no experience. He gutted her - all the panelling - engines (should have been arrested) etc. He ended up with a $200 K steel dumpster - walked away fom her and she was scrapped about 4 - 5 years ago. Feadship fifty fifty 50/50 Just to say there was feadship built in 1952 as "Fifty fifty", but she was a 72 ft motor sailer ketch ( i think) and looked nothing like the yacht your referring to...I'd love to find this 1952 Fifty Fifty if anyone knows what happened to her
This make me very sad.. so i grew up on this boat through middle school into high school..we lived in Frenchmans marina in juno Beach florida..my father was wes smith and we had many chores on this boat as kids...i spent many hours on her sanding rails,decks, in the bildges with scrappers and ospho...she was very functional..i ran this boat at 13yrs old into Frenchmans creek marina with my father standing behind me with his arms crossed..i had a good business in the marina cleaning bottoms of boats after school..she had some of the most unbelievable wood work...and when i lived on it she had the champagne bottles from when the reds won the world series turned into lamps...i snuck out that port hole over the rear guest quarters as a kid..(tricky at low tide)....im sad to hear this...i think she went downhill after my old man sold her to the old man...he couldn't afford to buy it at the time but made it happen....man i was a kid looking over that big wheel..bringing her in..had to use throttle and rudder to get that beast turning...all cable steering and she had twin 671 Detroit naturals...12k tons..

I did a Google search on Tony Scrivener, and it yielded that there is a Tony Scrivener that owns FIFTY-FIFTY YACHT SERVICES in Edgewater, MD. There's,also, a Tony Scrivener that is a taxi driver in the UK. I hope you get in touch with the one that's right for you.
