The sensors I got were under $100 and do temp monitoring, power failure and water level. All three in one unit. I may set up the water sensor to detect condensate overflow.

as mentioned in the original post, I m using the temp sensor and power alert on the other one in a chest freezer we don’t open everyday.

works really good. Couple of days ago the power went off in a thunderstorm at 4 am. Got the alert and as I was getting out of bed I got another alert saying the power had come back on. Saved me getting dressed and the long 20 feet commute from my boat :)

I just installed the power monitor on my boat as I had to leave it unattended for 3 weeks. Had a bit of an issue setting up, called the help line, walked me through the problem. For about $60 I'm monitoring my shorepower . How good is that!!!

Did you use the MySpool sensor? Setup was quick and painless.

here is the chilled water temp graph today. The high reading early on were when I was testing and installing. Them for the most of the day, till 4PM I was running only two chillers and you can see temp creeping up as the day got really hot. Then at 4PM I turn the third chiller back on as it was getting warm inside and you can see the quick drop back down to 49 degree. Finally around 7 I turned one off again and the loop went up to 55 but stayed there. By later one tonight it will drop back to 49 on just the two chillers.

There is an IOS app called SensorPush that will monitor the temperature in your freezer and any other areas on the boat. It can be used locally with Bluetooth or via the internet with an optional gateway. You can set alarm levels for each sensor. Sends notification when alarm considerations are exceeded. Seems to me I paid about $200 for the gateway and 3 sensors.
