Fuel tank. Also check the exhaust couplings. had one blow on a Mann and it wasn't pretty. Everything else I can think of you're surveyor should be on top of but be with your surveyor so you can get his on-the-spot impressions.

Have the MAN dealer come out and do the engine survey. Nobody is going to let you pull injectors and scope cylinders, that's a HUGE job and the risk of stuck injectors and etc and having to pull heads is a no go. Nor is there a way to scope the bearings or anything else without dropping the oil pan and again, that isn't happening. The MAN mechanic should be able to cylinder cut outs on the injectors etc. The MAN dealer will know exactly what to look for and will tell you. Get oil and coolant samples.

As for the fuel tanks, they're fiberglass in ALL Cabo's, so no need to worry about them aside from a quick visual inspection of the exterior. Have a good hull surveyor.

Which would show you what exactly? The bearings are sealed inside journals and no way to tell the condition of them even if you had the oil pan off.

Nothing, make sure they run well at cold start, aren't smoking, aren't overheating, make WOT rpm's and run clean at cruise and WOT and all of the pressures look good......and have good oil samples and when was the last time the 1000 hour service was done.......

Check on the cost for that and other required periodic services.
