Located up the New River in Fort Lauderdale as of this afternoon. Almost look like a Romsdal Trawler, but not quite..Judy..?
Found her, built in Norway, just like me. https://*************.com/2016/10/sinbad-refit-front-street-shipyard/ I would love to see her up close, if the owner is on this forum, send me a PM.
Reminds me of FREDERICKSTADT, classic small expedition yacht. As I remember it, a very deep draft though.
Indeed, great link and interesting story. Hoping to find pictures of bridge, interior and engine room. If I sell the house, boats, cars and the dog, and put wifey to work, maybe I could afford her..
Not related, but uh, on channel 09 today in Fort Lauderdale, a boat checked In as Holly Ship” Clever, or rude...? ,
More recent models, along this line of North Sea Explorers, were designed by Vripack, and a couple built also in the 70/75 ft range ...
Nice and sturdy looking vessel for sure, probably Dutch? I am however drawn to the 60’s softer lines, grew up in Norway in the 60’s with father, uncles, grand fathers etc working on ships and fishing boats, that there style is kind of in the blood. (Let me see, how much can I get for the dog?)
Funny, just looked at her in person at the LMC show for brokers, no not a broker here. Really cool little ship, I was told she was built for polar bear hunting, something I could believe after crawling around her in person. If I was going to be in harsh conditions, it would be in this little ship. https://sysyachtsales.com/yachts-an...80-a-eidsvik-sindbad/vid-2777279/userid-80842
That is some refit. What does thin mean, in donation? SINDBAD is currently in donation, with 40% of the purchase price due at closing. The remaining 60% is financed for three years with no interest due.
Sounds like a fancy (and wrong) way of saying For sale unless the ship was donated to an organization which is now selling it. Maybe it's a local Down East expression. Beautiful ship.
Many places you can't get to with that draft... But, if you can navigate your waters of choice given the dimensions, perhaps it's a heck of a buy. She's a beauty in the pictures...
Classless and rude. I've had the pleasure of having a vessel out of Baltimore dock next to me at City Dock Annapolis ( ego alley) named Wet Dream ... Also in Phila area "Aquaholic" and "Ship Happens". Rock Hall Md a crab boat named "Lil Puss" along with a dark silhouette of a female in an unsavory pose next to the name. ...
Ha, speaking of boat names, a sailboat next to us in St. Thomas: “Passing Wind” Seen on the New River in Fort Lauderdale, big boat: “Lucky Sperm” Not much class there either..
