I read this morning in our local newspapers that a captain of an 'unidentified yacht' was arrested by local authorities in Bermuda for alegedly trying to smuggle slot machines ashore from his yacht....For those of you who probably do not know Bermuda has banned the use of slot machines and gaming really from i think 2001... The fines are usually $250,000 and 5 years in prisonment.
Yes the yacht is 194 feet long but they didnt give a name...and they said 'unidentified yachtg' ...thats a fair size yacht 194 feet is nearly 60 meters....I guess as more info comes to hand we will find out!
Well, here's a link to that occurence: http://www.theroyalgazette.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060814/NEWS/108140104
Why boycott it?...thats their personal decision in stopping the gambling thing...everyplace in the world can't be a gambling spot.
This hasn't got anything to do with the Jones Act, or even the recent clampdown on "offshore gambling interests" as a result of a proposed US law banning banks and credit card companies from processing internet gambling payments then...?!
