Replacing the gray line plumbing with pex on my 1988 Symbol 44 Sundeck

    Sprung a leak in my water pipe .upon inspection will need to replace the entire system with pex. Any suggestions , tips and where might I obtain a blue print .

    Not understanding the reason to replace all with Oex. Most Pex SharkByte fittings will fix both poly and pex.
    For the perfectionist, there is an adapter to make up that 1/4-1/2 mm difference.

    This is the third time my gray pipe has caused a leak. Rather just take out all the old gray pipes and replace with better . How might I go about purchasing a manual for the boat? Would like to see a diagram as to how the existing pipes are laid out.

    Where has the leaks happened? At the connects I bet.
    I am not a good reference on Symbols. We do have a Member. She may pop in shortly. Maybe some factory support could be at hand.

    Sorry to report there are no more dealers in the states any more.

    Hatteras used a lot of the polly tubing. This where I learned about all the bad connects and how to fix them.

    There is no such thing as a diagrahm for your plumbing on a Symbol. You can still buy the grey stuff at places like Home Depot and all the fittings. It's either that or buy a bunch of pex and all of the fittings, but marine and home pex are different sometimes and have to stick to one brand for best results.
