Does anyone have knowledge of this vessel? She looks like a nice long range steel trawler, but I can find little about her online. Thanks in advance. https://www.**************/boats/2001/custom-65-steel-expedition-yacht--3673016/
you might want to contact Judy Waldman (JWYachts.com) Ph:954-895-8844 from what i am told it is a cape horn design but not built at AFT yard. JW is a great broker and will give u all the details.
I sold this boat from Owner # 1 to Owner #2 in 2011. Am still in touch with the original owners and was also with the 2nd owners until the wife donated her after her husband's death 2 years ago. She has suffered from serious neglect through the husband's illness over the last several years. As with all quality steel boats, she can be brought back with enough $$. Judy
I feel confident in saying affirmative to both. I sent one client to see her last year before she was donated and then another client saw her a few months ago. I no longer even tell clients about her availability. Really too bad to see her deterioration. BTW, I am not a fan of CSB and the only reason I supported this boat previously was that it was built by the former CSB owners, not their kids running the shop and the original owner moved nearby to oversee the construction.
Maybe someone will "rescue" it. Looks like a well cared for vessel when you sold it back in 2011. That was a rough time for sellers though.
Yes well, listing agents have been known to provide comic relief in their descriptions. “Ready to Cruise” is a phrase I stay away from even if a boat is ready to cruise. I don’t use “Turn Key” either but I see it used fairly often. The Buyer can interpret it to mean they should expect zero survey items to come up. It’s not a great baseline to start from. Something always comes up.
