Perini Navi Launches Second 42-meter E-Volution Sloop

Yesterday saw the technical launching of Perini Navi's second 42-meter E-Volution hull into the water at the Istanbul yard. The yacht will now journey from there to Viareggio for outfitting and finishing. Once she goes inside the shed at the yard in Italy the yacht will remain there until official launching in 2021. The design of the second hull is in-house by Perini Navi with Naval Architecture by Reichel Pugh.

The yacht's construction features an aluminium hull with a carbon fiber superstructure. On the inside there will be accommodation for up to eight guests in four cabins. Up to seven crew can be accommodated too with four cabins on hand. This second hull, like the first is sleek in design but also relatively environmentally friendly. Firstly, as a sailing yacht she will utilize her sails to power her in open water, that is as environmentally conscious as you can get. However, she also will employ hybrid propulsion with an electric motor alongside a standard diesel engine. Look out for this yacht re-emerging in 2021 for delivery to its owner.
