ICW strip charts

    Cruising with my dad years ago he had strip charts for the ICW. Had a cork base with rollers mounted on each end. Charts would go on the rollers and operate like a scroll as you transited - compact and a great way to keep track of your position. Can't find the charts on NOAA site or anywhere else on the web. Do they still exist and if so where can you get them? Help!!

    Never seen the rolling charts but there is (or was) an ICW chart book that covered only the ICW, spiral bound with space in the margin for notes. Very convenient. Can’t eecall the name. kettlebridge ot something like that

    ICW chartbook by John & Leslie Kettlewell is available but I think it hasn't been updated in quite a few years. Mine is from 2012.

    The maptech chartbooks are what I use and they are very good and in many cases the ICW is as a strip but all in the book. You can get Florida East Coast, GA-VA, Chesapeke, and North atlantic chartbooks etc.

    Use Maptech chartbooks as well. Just keep turning the page. We use a small location marker and move it every so often to keep up with where we are just in case we lose GPS screen. Although that's never happened. I like having a manual backup.

    LOLOLOL, I do the exact same thing on slower boats. You can also find where you are by finding the channel marker number on the chart.

    That's the game we play ...just passed Green 27, here comes Red 26. Love turning that page we're closer getting there ...lol.

    After blowing through a live fire restriction by Camp Legune in an early morning ICW "mind fog" and almost running down a couple of Marines in a Zodiac, I need those markers!
