    May one of us call and ask? Maybe lessen some guessing.
    Somebody should have some facts somewhere. Bridges can't shut down in secrete from other departments.

    There we have it. That's why it doesn't look like a lot of work being done as what they're doing is just replacing bolts.

    Nobody was replacing a **** thing on it today. There wasn't a single worker on it......why can't they replace bolts for 1/2 the day and have openings half the day etc. etc.

    Commercial BLVD was only opening the West span today as well.

    We saw people crawling around when we went by. Maybe they had to get bolts that meet the standards.

    Assuming the last bolts did not meet some HomeDepot standard, Maybe start shopping at the local Ace..

    It would be interesting to know what the bolts went to.
    I am glad somebody thought to look at sister bridges.

    Sector Miami is broadcasting securite calls about Commercial being one span only, the other span having “structural issues”

    3 Key bridges having issues... the Sheriff being removed from office and a crooked incompetent election supervisor

    Broward, you have a problem. And I thought Miami Dade was the banana republic... :)

    In further securite calls, sector Miami is also reporting las Olas closed for the next two days and Atlantic ...

    UPDATE: Feb. 7As of 6:30 p.m. today, the Las Olas Boulevard and Commercial Boulevard bridges over the Intercoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale are opening one leaf only for marine traffic on their normal opening schedules. Emergency maintenance repairs continue at both bridges.

    I have read that as of 2/8/2019 Las Olas bridge is fully functional.

    On our way home from tennis this morning, they were opening both sides, although we didn't need it open.

    I took a brand new 98' Benetti through Flagler Memorial a year or so ago with one span (which is narrower than Las Olas) with only a few feet to spare on either side, with the wind blowing 20 knots and current howling on my stern. It was fun.
