Azimut Introduces S10; Grand Magellano 25 Metri At Cannes

The Cannes Yachting Festival came to and end yesterday and was once again ground zero for a major announcement. Azimut formally introduced the Grand Magellano 25 Metri as well as the S10 at the show. In this article we will look at both models closer and see what they offer to the market. Firstly, both models will top their respective classes as well as showcase new collaborations with designers. The Azimut S10 is a new member of the S-Class from Azimut.

Designer Alberto Mancini is onboard with this particular design along with Azimut. The S10 comes in at just under 100-feet, 28-meters to be precise. It has a more elongated bow that results in more space for relaxation zones for guests. Right outside the superstructure there is a large sunpad that probably could accommodate all guests onboard at once. Forward of this area are built-in side seating for al-fresco activities with both sides served with their own tables. Upstairs on the flying bridge there is more relaxing space for guests with mini sunpad to the starboard side and established seating just aft. On the right side up front is the secondary helm station. Onboard power will come from a pair of 2600 horse power MTU powerplants. From these engines the GRP and carbon-fiber build is expected to top out at a performance-filled 35-knots.

With the first hull in the new S10 line already under construction, the interior designer onboard is Francesc0 Guida Design. The mature and sophisticated interior will utilize hidden lighting to highlight the interior as well as special points of interest. LED strips of lighting will be cleverly hidden between the panels of wood in the ceiling. The interior is going to be a a step away from what Azimut usually does but it will definitely work out well for them. When the first S10 is completed it will make its debut at the 2019 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The other new offering is the Grand Magellano 25 Metri. You will find and exterior design by Ken Freivokh on this model which is definitely a first for Azimut. Azimut didn't appear to show the exterior of this new yacht but they did showcase a couple points on the interior. Below you can see the interior concept designed by Milan-based Vincenzo De Cotiis who is more accustomed to styling boutique, hotels, private homes, and restaurants. Four cabins are situated on the lower deck including a full-beam master suite. Two engine options are available for this class of yacht, the more powerful dual 1,400 horsepower plants will allow the vessel to attain a 25-knot top speed while there are two 1,200 horse power units that can also be employed.
