Difference between living on a yacht and living on a houseboat?

We have a houseboat and a Yacht and you are wrong a house boat is for moving around on inland bodies of water lakes and rivers and a Yacht is for Sea Waters such as Oceans and The great lakes what you are considering a houseboat is actually a house barge there is a big difference between a house barge don't have a motor and a houseboat has a motor

Perhaps the biggest detriment to a house boat is that you have to be nice to your neighbors!
