    ReelPlumber, do you know what your fuel burn is at cruise with tabs down (20 to 21 kts at 1900 RPM, listed above)?

    We averaged between 35 and 39 an hour for both and between 20 and 22.7. Tore the boat apart for a redo and became sick. Like the boat and wish we could finish it but not looking good right now. What I can tell you is the sound of those 671 bring fish to the boat. We were adding lifting and spray rails and redoing the engine room when I became sick. If the boat does not sell I am going to attempt very slowly to clean and paint and finsih the updates to interior over the next couple year. Oh! what I would have done to not have become ill. Best of luck to you. She's a slow cruise but with a few add ons I think an awesome platform for the money.

    I been wanting to have Seadek installed on the decks but I didn't like having the white show between the panels. I cleaned the areas where the panel lines and hatches would show and painted them flat black. After they installed the panels it looked awesome. Only problem was I missed 2 small sections but that will be easily fixed with an artist brush.

    This past week I've been updating the head and galley. I made some granite tile counter tops and installed new sinks and tile walls. I just need to grout and varnish the trim.

    Love the rod storage. That is really nicely done. Unfortunately, I was hoping to leave the rigs assembled. Was there not enough height, or do you just prefer to secure your rods once they are disassembled?

    My dear wife suggested that we convert that space and put a bait freezer on the bottom and a Splendide combo washer dryer on the top. However, that still leaves the rods to deal with.

    Thanks for the hatch panel layout.

    petrel there is not enough height for most rods and it only takes a few minutes to put them together.
    Yes as RER suggest "Do Not" put a bait freezer in the boat. I had to replace my refrigerator/freezer do to a power outage. No mater what I did to clean it you could not get rid of the smell.

    You make a good point. I will get a price on resurrecting the cockpit freezer. It is completely non-functional right now.

    My other idea for rod storage would be to put vertical rod holders in the salon floor between the breaker panel and the bar. All of my offshore rods are stand up rods, so they aren't too tall. It would not be the prettiest arrangement, but it would certainly be convenient.

    If my memory serves me correctly I had a price of 3100.00 to resurrect mine. I know there are some kits out there that seem fairly simple to install. If your compressor unit is in the engine room have the lines tested from there to the freezer box. if they are good and no leaks it may be a simple as a line vacuum and replacement unit installed.

    I chose to break my rods down as I have seen in many boats where the ceiling has marks all over them from people scraping the rod tips against them. Looks nasty.
    I was keeping them in one piece at first and storing them in the salon sofa. It got to be a PITA digging them out:mad: so that's when I decided to take out the washer and dryer.

    Your wife's idea is great on the W/D combo unit and that may leave you enough room for an ice machine. Between fish and drinks ice is important!:D

    The ice machine is very tempting.

    I'm headed down to the yard tomorrow to review my work order from the survey and to see if they can get us on the schedule for a paint job this winter. The gelcoat is getting a little worn through in places, so I think it is time for Awlgrip.
