OK Thanks guys. I just found out it's in another country. I though it was in Port Lucia FL Oh well. I like the lines of the Hatteras 70 Motor-yacht better. And it' a one piece hand laid hull. That extra 3-1/2' of beam of the Tarrab 75 would have been nice though. http://www.**************/boats/199...17982/St.-Lucia/FL/United-States#.V89gDTWCypI
I've been on one Tarrab. Just a walk thru but I thought it was a good, serviceable ship. It did look like a good ship. From the south Atlantic, I would think they understood a sea keeping design. Were working on a Hatteras 2009, 72 now. Looking back (what I remember), I wish is was that Tarrab now. The sales ad reads interesting. I'm a Cat 34 fan. Maybe some of our international members can ad a comment. Skippy J may have a thought or two since my experience was in his hood. A few down there. There was for sure better storage for fenders, lines & deck gear.
I skippered one Argentine built yacht, a Tango. The components were mostly US sourced but the quality of installation and fit n'finish really wasn't up to normal standards. The yard manager and an engineer had to fly-in and spend a week sorting out an electrical fault under warranty. It wasn't very sophisticated or elegantly designed.
Any more comments on this? W just saw a 92 at th show that was clean with 3412s. Wide beam. Good crew quarters. It's not a high valu name and thus the price is reasonable.
