There are reports that the boat of CEO at surfing/watersports wear brand Quicksilver washed ashore in France. It is said that Pierre Agnes went out on a fishing trip on his boat in rough weather. The boat washed ashore without him onboard leading to fears of the worse. Quiksilver, known for its surf wear, was founded in Australia but is now majority-owned by an American investment group and based in Huntington Beach, California. Mr Agnes sent a message to port authorities indicating that he was delaying his return because of thick fog. It doesn't appear that he made it to shore. Search teams in the air and on water were sent out to look for him but suspended it until Wednesday morning (local time). Photo by the Associated Press
Let's all hope that the matter does not end in tragedy! The boat looks pretty beat up. I hope that happened on the beach and not out while she was still afloat.
That is likely how the rail came off because I have seen photos where she was on her topside in the sand.
