Is the new owner ever going to build any Post Yachts?

The 4 year old article says they have a mold for a 66'. Why go thru all that expense and not run one out for a look?? Dunno. I know they say they purchased all the old molds, but the 66" would be a new model - and you don't just nail a couple of boards together to do that. I think they may have a design concept and are confusing that with an actual mold?

I think their business model may turn out to be refitters, like they do with the Bert.

They do have a 66' hull mold. I can't recall the builder that it came from but it had nothing to do with the original Post.

Worse than I thought - scavenging old molds and calling them Posts. They are developing a hodgepodge of designs and bottoms it sounds like. Oh well. After 19 years, I'm still happy with my ole' 50 with 820's. I do like those 54'Hatties though....

By comparison my 50 with 820's burns about 60gph at 30+/-knots turning 1950rpm. But I have a much flatter and a little wider stern area which gets the back end up. I weigh about 30 tons with fuel, water and gear aboard

Totally agree, close friend just purchased a 54 2002 or 03 i believe and wow it’s thirsty.

I owned a 1968 37' POST, she turned heads at every marina I would go to. I will have to post a picture here.

Definitely post a picture! There is an old 37' rotting away at a marina where I used to winter my boat. The owner past away a few years ago and the family just left the boat on the hard and it's in bad shape now. Not too many people are interested in wood boats now a days.

Didn't the wooden Posts have a whole different profile ?
I seem to remember coming across a wooden Post that surprised me as I initially thought it was a Viking or something.
The signature profile that I know today came later, I think.

That 37' looks the same as the one I owned , I will post some pictures. She was powered by 300 hp Chris Crafts, which were 427 Fords

Bertram comparison is just the reason I'd say never. They were purchased quickly by a builder and then there was regular communication as they built a plan. New boat shortly thereafter. Not the delay or silence of Post.
