  1. 53-meter Delta Marine Superyacht Moves To Final Construction Shed
Delta Marine had a busy few weeks with the launching of a 63-meter superyacht at the very end of 2017 and now the movement of a 53-meter superyacht into the final build shed. This 53-meter (175-feet) vessel is known as build number 174046 and appears to be built with a semi-displacement aluminium hull and a composite superstructure. The inspiration for the yacht was from a past Delta Marine project, "Silver Shallis".
  2. The owner liked the style of Silver Shallis and wanted a yacht that took the technical achievements of that build along with a relatively shallow draft (7.7-feet) to allow them to cruise The Bahamas and other shallow areas in the Caribbean. The exterior design of 174046 is by JQB Designs. They also did the styling for the interior of the build. She will provide the owner with four decks to relax and entertain their guests. Decent deck headroom height of 2.1-meter (7-feet) will help make the interior feel more spacious.
  3. This yacht is actually fairly confidential and as a result details are few and far between. We know her LOA is around 53.30-meters with an overall beam of 10.40-meters and a draft just under 2.40-meters. She will be sleeping twelve guests but has the capability to serve fourteen onboard. Accommodation is in six cabins with the owner having a full-beam suite on the main deck while there is a VIP-grade suite on the bridge deck. The other guest cabins are on the lower deck. A crew of twelve will be provided for as well. An interesting feature is the fitting of the elevator that rides directly to the sundeck. On the forward end of the sundeck there is a swimming pool that has a waterfall feature incorporated. As an area that is expected to see alot of use the sundeck has it's own day head. Bars are located on every deck so entertainment via a cocktail session will not be a problem onboard. The yacht should feature decent performance too with a light-weight aluminium hull (vs if steel was used) and a composite superstructure driven by powerful MTUs rated at 3,860 horse power. Predicted performance figures have not been released.
