News: Amels Announce New 78M Custom Yacht

Amels is set to start work on building a new custom superyacht. The 78-meter luxury yacht will be their largest vessel (By gross tonnage) at around 2,850GT. Of course the largest yacht (length wise) Amels has built so far is the 83.5-meter "Here Comes The Sun" but she doesn't quite match the GT of the new 78-meter custom. Also something else different about the custom superyacht is the designer. Amels will be working with Espen Oeino on the exterior design which is something very different from what they have been doing with the Limited Editions line of yachts designed by Tim Heywood.

However, in 2014 Amels announced that they would be building custom yachts to bring to the market for owners who want a different look from everyone else. With this realization, the 78-meter will be the first Amels-Oeino collaboration. The custom yachts division will build vessels up to 110-meters but as for the 78-meter, this yacht is expected to be completed in 2021 for its owner after being signed at the recently concluded Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). While Espen Oeino penned the exterior lines, on the interior, the spaces are designed by Zuretti Interior Design. No further details have been released on the five-deck, 78-meter custom superyacht.
