Why did Post install Master Cabin Hatch to open forward instead of aft. I assume it was in case of water over the bow but not sure. Has anyone ever reversed their hatch????
I did. So much better when anchored to get a breeze. I think you have an older 43 like mine with the Post hatches? If so, all I did was remount the hardware in the fiberglass. Redrill for the hinge, the support poll and 2 locks. I don't think I touched anything mounted to the hatch itself. Left it all attached. Then plug at least the old hinge holes for water. The others are inside.
