How a Champagne-Laden Steamship Ended Up in a Kansas Cornfield http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/how-a-champagneladen-steamship-ended-up-in-a-kansas-cornfield
I have visited the museum. There was a lot more than Champagne on board. In fact, it is the largest collection of datable pre civil war artifacts in the country. If you're ever there, visit it. It's fascinating. More so, the transition of a whole family from HVAC contractors to historians is a back story unto itself.
I have another old friend who has done some treasure hunting doing his life (around the world), and he wrote me back that he had visited this site. Said it was worth seeing.
