Here's a weird one. A 59 year old mummified body of a German Sailor was found in his still floating but half submerged sailing yacht. Last anyone heard from the guy was 2009. This is a prime reason you don't go sailing or yachting alone. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/0...venturer-found-inside-yacht.html?intcmp=hpbt4 This story says yacht has been drifting for years http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...sailor-discovered-inside-abandoned-yacht.html
The authorities are still investigating this case. They say it could be a health condition. Not much was stolen or missing . Pirates are more rampant on the southern part of Mindanao. He was found in the northern part of the island. His mast could have been broken after he died because of the rough seas these months due to the northwest moonsoon.
International phrase. Sadly (per my wife), I exchange that phrase often. Wish the video kept going. Would of luved to hear more when he went below.
Autopsy report says he died of cardia arrest. http://www.philstar.com/nation/2016...seen-death-mummy-looking-sailor-found-surigao
Sorry I posted the wrong link http://www.philstar.com/nation/2016/03/04/1559157/german-found-yacht-died-heart-attack
I am confused. Hull looked upright in video from post #4. All other post & pics had fishermen involved and boat flooded/listing. WTF? Oh, Family did not know he was missing or over due?? Cremation makes for cheaper air fair.
Well in the video, there was water on the floor in the cabin. My guess is in the picture of it with all the people on it, it got towed into shore and the tide went out and it's sitting on the keel
Locals are always curious, not to mention trying to find things to keep (loot). Local authorities are incapable of just merely keeping a crime scene controlled.
